On Emptiness And Purity Poem by Josh Alfred

On Emptiness And Purity

I clear my lawn of twigs and leaves
And leave the dirt clear of defilement
I watch the storms and the clouds
And patiently await clear blue skies
I throw aside the rocks and shells
And stand on a clean brown beach
I scare away the fish, and set sail
To the clearest blue waters.
I untangle all my thoughts and meet
The purest essence of consciousness.
