Old Friends Poem by Louis Borgo

Old Friends

Old friends, growing up what could I call you more then endearment but that's my boy,
Did we grow up our did the time change-
My dialect of speech was far from country and I was from here but now from over there
Go figure, I think in changeable like a map we figure out the discrete of this and that
And whether then changing directions we pin pointing our view of direction like a
unspoken vibe of how you doing cause that's what it is when you are get it in without speaking a word like looking at subtitle of a movie and asking was there ever a needed for the titles-
And I remember growing up no matter the week or the acquisition they took up for me' Hi Im Shy',
Because saying something to me was like saying something to them I would be sitting
There and they would say you talking about me and I'm thinking he was talking to me it must be a country thing
And no I was not one of the cool kids but they was the cool kids how they got all those girls number by the summer was beyond me but I was taking notes
Growing up it did not matter who had the money we all ate it was not complication it was simple-
And No I did not like sports but they made me play sports and yes I had two left feet but like autumn to winter leaves turn colors and blossom into something beautiful who would of knew that sports and dancing was one in the same-
Oh how this principals grew on me or was it just 'The City Im From' one think that always stood out to me was that abandon movie theater next to the mall I would always think what if someone put a MMA gym in it-
the stories we had was one for the tapes rumble young man rumble and how do the saying goes 'all we had back in the days was our hands but you live to fight another day' So many young athletes ran 4.5 in high school I thought that was slow no one was getting recruit and I would always think when will they ever hear of my city I wonder did we grow up our did time change-
I know we might of lost touch but coming from 'The city im from' I just had to know where
you were @; Old friends-
