Old Dogs. Poem by Geoffrey Fafard

Old Dogs.

Rating: 5.0

Heart stealer
Deepest friend
Smelling of life
Back to the wind
Protectors of spirit
Forever giving
Always
Watching you
Always
Cued to your face
Unlimited in respect
Deep in love
With no requests
Other than a touch
Make it a gentle one
Reach out to an old dog
You will be rewarded
One million times.

Old Dogs.

An old dog has come. She licks the rain and a tear
from my face….and smiles!
