Old Age Contracts Poem by Shalom Freedman

Old Age Contracts

OLD AGE CONTRACTS

Sadness calls me time after time
The weight of the world is beyond my carrying
Old age contracts
And I in the circle of my own smallness
Focus my worries on a few
As I always have
Life goes on
I go on for now
Another poem is written which does not mean much to anyone
But I am writing it
The world is another place now
And I am at home writing my small words.

I am glad you keep writing, your words fill the soul with more than one meaning, I think the whole world could relate to, young and aged alike, thank you for share, the weight of world seems lighter when we find poems of such great depths.
