Ode To Water Poem by Malaysia Mason

Ode To Water

Water

So clear in color

yet so tasteful to the tongue

When I'm parched or in dying need

of moisture

you're right there by my side

waiting to be picked up

and swallowed

Feeling it glide smoothly

down my throat

I feel like I’m on a cloud

a midstful float

Smart Water, Dasani, Voss, Fiji

so many to choose from

my mouth gets uncontrollably hydrous

Water

the aqueous taste of water

a dry mouth I will never have again

the next time you’re thirsty

Take water for a spin
