Ode To The Lost Boy Poem by Yada Richie

Ode To The Lost Boy

Here lies the last lost boy,
Dreams and aspirations sleep alongside,
Hopes of eternal childhood long deprived,
In their place the empty case of a weary man.

Here lies the true lost boy,
The boy who still dreamed whilst others had given up,
The boy told it was too late,
The boy who dreamed on anyway.

Here lies the long lost man,
The man who finally ceased to dream,
The man who finally gave up on life,
The lost boy that became the man lost to everyone.

Here lies a dead man,
Lost and gone forever,
A man which the world abandoned,
A man who death found.
