Flight Poem by Yada Richie

Flight

From the innocence of my mind
It was pure and spread to eternity.

But as heaven evaporated
Hells entrance burned into my vision
through the misty haze.

My decline was rapid
but the moment I felt the heat stroke my face
a dozen hands broke my fall.
Rooting me to earth.

With lost innocence came wisdom
And on worn faces with hidden stories
I found home.
