O thou a victim of rage,
Of today's ill time and age,
Of idealistic image!
Though called art thou a Goddess
All powerful, loving no less,
Few seem to seek you to bless.
If ye choose ladles to wield,
Choose home-making as thine field,
Is it any less in yield?
Paper, nor power of a pen,
Keyboard, nor digital ken,
Thine wisdom still widely pans.
And yet, nor art thou empowered,
Nor art ever duly heard,
And all thine equity gets soured.
A million things to meddle,
Tireless upon a saddle,
Ye justify, judge, nor juggle!
O home-maker so handsome,
Thine spouse when asked what ye do,
He, having a hint, nor clue,
Might say: you just stay at home!

Topic: wife, home-maker
Glad to know that there are men like you who can understand what onerous duties are performed by women, staying at home. In fact the tedium of never ending chores a woman endures is never understood or appreciated by men. But many of them silently carry out all household chores without complaint, trying their level best to make their husbands and children happy. Their silent services should not be under ignored, though not always appreciated. A meaningful poem, beautifully put!
'Glad to know that there are men like you...' Thanks but I have a confession to make. I am one that appreciate, fine, but still a useless guy being tolerated, for it is known, he is only a poet that plays a lip service, and who whenever tries to help, he makes a mess of it. First spoiled by loving sisters, and later declared (soon after marriage) , 'he's beyond redemption or repair.' But thanks, it still feels good.
A million things to meddle, Tireless upon a saddle, Ye justify, judge, nor juggle! Wonderful expression sir! A fabulous Ode To The Home-Maker.......10/10
Thanks, the only thing, I think, that sustains this home-maker doing a thankless job is: it is a labour of love and expects rewards nor thanks.
BEAUTIFUL HOW I WISH SAY HE COULD O home-maker so handsome, Thine spouse when asked what ye do, He, having a hint, nor clue, Might say: you just stay at home!
