Oceans Apart (We Are) Poem by Justin Gildow

Oceans Apart (We Are)

Oceans apart we are
I'm to the west
You're to the east
Yet our friendship is strong
Just like the many stars
The ones that hang in the night sky

Fairies and mermaids have become our bond
And it's what has kept our friendship strong
All these years it seems
For so long
And the many magical dreams
That have come as well

Oceans apart we are
The Atlantic seperates us
Yet I think you and I would agree
We're still going strong
Our friendship is still going strong

Mermaid magic has changed us
Transformed us
All for the better
It's a big part of our lives
I know you won't deny it
And neither will I

As time goes forever on
I don't know what the future for the both
of us will hold
Yet our love for mermaids and their magic
hopefully will remain strong

The mermaids surely would know of both
of our fates
It would seem
In each of our dreams
