Occult Pain Poem by Tarun Mathew

Occult Pain

I knew something(s) were wrong when,
It all stepped outside my 'fenced' mind.
And then my veins played hide n' seek.
Unseen to the touch of care,
Unheard to the cry of love.
They say it's time to run and
Now I know I hav to run:
Run away from d noise.
I will hurt you, that is certain
Do remember, I'm not sorry,
But I too am hurt; hurt beyond repair.
Unheard, injured I run, into new frontiers
Only to forget what I had with me;
This short while; what kept me going!
Enduring all the strains, I tried but failed -
To stay, till it all became habit - a 'habitual pain'!
Here I go; unwilling to say goodbyes,
Here I start my run, to glory and new pains.
Unheard, injured I run to free myself,
From the fences of my mind.
To an unknown sound I run,
Rejecting the familiar cries of yesterday,
I know not what awaits; but I need not wish,
To show what I have become; today!
So I run, unheard and injured, into a - Path
Set outside the fences of my mind - my fenced mind!
