Empty Thoughts Poem by Tarun Mathew

Empty Thoughts

Not one of them I'm, poets
I dare dream but rarely.
Music I did find in silence
Patience found me through traumas at large.
I dream today, to dance one-day
Upon the court, with a racket in hand.
My thoughts, full of emptiness
Yet righteous are them; empty-thoughts.
To drive, to ride; I love, I confess
For they fill up as i drive: the empty thoughts,
(The empty-thoughts - my empty-thoughts,
Forever new, forever patient.)
Perfect light, I know, is darkness
Perfection I see within souls, broken souls.
Yet, I own one not
For empty it is, my soul; 'my empty-soul'
Empty was it not, empty shall it remain.
The rain of love overflowed but once;
Fulfilling was, the soul which, love's taste
Miser of misers, yet powerful as Gods,
Love knew no limits; she showed infinities.
I confess, I do confess; I dream but not dreams,
No longer, nor will anymore. I now love my dormant fear -
Nightmares, tangled within my dry fountain of memories,
One with myself, they know me as I not know myself.
I cry not with tears, with a smile - a lustful lie!
Today I danced, not in the rain, but in the rain -
The rain of smashes and drops; upon the court
Reigned I over my empty-thoughts,
Obedient they stood, before a request of hope.
I confess, I do confess; I hope; but I hope not
not of Love - my empty vessel, broken within -
Yet perfect for your eyes. Dare not look!
Not with your heart - I beg! !
I confess! I do confess!
I must confess!
I write not to share yet I share; the greatest wealth
The wealth of a new knowledge - I pledge of it
My only thought - my righteous thought:
'EVERYTHING IS DISCOVERED IN EMPTINESS'
