Obhur, Jeddah Poem by Jesus Diaz Llorico

Obhur, Jeddah

"As I walked alone
on this desolate road
I can feel the afternoon air
brushing through my hair
and the only sound I hear
are my footsteps
echoing in my ears
with this vast desert expanse
there's not a thing to behold
but in this instance
so many nostalgic moments
comes to my mind
with the leaves swaying
in the distant trees
and the skies reflection
in the mysterious red sea
silently counting the years
that slowly passed
I feel the winds getting cold
and the clouds looking dark
as all of the pain in my past
all the silence of being alone
I just felt in my heart a longing
a craving for something
that will never be found."
