O' Grasshopper Poem by Rob Lamberton

O' Grasshopper

Rating: 4.8

O' grasshopper
Starving in the stubble
Searching for withered grass
Lift up your voice

Cry in the wilderness
Cry out for the Lord's breath
Admit your desperation
Blow fresh air on me

The whirlwind
Above the earth's circle
Will blow you away
If not for heaven's curtain

Sing your song
Lament beside the faded flower
Travel the desert highway
Search all the day long

Wait on the Lord
He feeds His flock
Receive double your heart's desire
You will not starve for long

O' Grasshopper

Beautiful, beautiful poem. Each and every stanza stands out with stunning poetic expressions and crystalline images. To my favorites.
