O' Flamingo!
A joy terrain you chose
O lovely bird from the West...
a fairy land with esoteric scents
and benevolent accent!
This soil the cherished destiny
of many a sacred saint and sage!
Welcome to the holy home...O avian guest!
where nurses you, our Mother Bharati!

Unique is this earth, where piety sprouts,
and grows as paramount philosophy!
This soil has the ardor of holy soul
and sky here showers blissful mists!
Soothe you our lucent shoals
and winds greet you with tingling caresses!

O Flamingo...
where else you go?
Come on O' bird, discard all doubts
these leas are free for romantic spree!

Our Pulicot streams are pooling up
the stolid fjords of shiny waters
into erotic spas for you!
Our Nelapattu is blending salty clay
with surgery sands
to build fervent breeding grounds for you.
Our trees are burgeoning new leaves
and growing fast are fresh boughs
to host your glowing nests.
Welcome to the holy home...
O Flamingo...
where else you go?

You will be safe and happy in here
within the Divine aspects
of Goddess Chengalamma
and sure enjoy the company
of your old chums... Nellorians!

and eyes bleary!
Not easy a flight ov'r 2000 miles
O bravest bird!
Take a leap into the briny lagoons
and glide along the refreshing waters...
and by the way, come on tell us the tales
of your longest journey...
about the mountain peaks you crossed,
about the raising tides of great Atlantic
and lo, while nearing Bharat
the sweet incessant tolls of temple bells
that led your way upto these shores!
