Now You'Re Gone Poem by sam gale

Now You'Re Gone

Rating: 5.0

When you die you never fade
In our hearts is where you lay
Make us smile everyday?
By our side when we're afraid,
Fighting away our fears
brightening the light in our tears.

Now you're gone, You're free from pain
Now you're gone, You're forever strong
Now you're gone, I smile in the rain
Now you're gone, Nothing goes wrong

Do not fear,
I will see you in a matter of time,
It honestly wont be long.
But in the meantime,
I will be strong.

Your life was great,
I want to say goodbye,
but we both know it's too late.
Now and again i begin to cry
But i look the stars and smile
Because i know you're happy
Havent seen that in you in a while.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this to read at my nan's funeral as a tribute, sadly I could not puck up the courage as I was in tears.

This was beautifully written. The flow rushed into my heart as I felt the words against my mind.
