Now I Regret Poem by Suelynn Walters

Now I Regret

Took a drink late afternoon
Drowning my tears away
Broken hearted as a fool can be
Since you decided to stray

Now I Regret

You told me things changed
I could see the truth in your eyes
I stood there with disbelief
Was it just another lie

Now I Regret

I woke up in a lonely bed
Holding my pillow so near
If only I've tried to listen
You would still be here

Now I Regret

This house is not a home
Ever since you left that day
Why couldn't I simply see
There would come a day

Now I Regret
