Wondering if you feel the same.
Hearing you in my dreams.
Seeing your smile in my head.
Wanting to be yours forever.
I am nothing alone.

Pretending not to hear your cruel words.
But feeling the pain they cause.
Not ever feeling happiness.
Worrying I'll never be whole.
Crying when you shun me.
I am nothing alone.

Dreaming it's not true.
But understanding your cruelty.
Saying I do not love you.
But lying.
Dreaming it's not real.
Trying to forget you.
Hoping I will.
Hoping I won't.
