Not Once Poem by Starburst Snooper

Not Once

Through out my days,
You’ve cleared the haze.
And through out the years,
You stood with me by my fears.

As I’ve grown oh so much like you…

Not once have I given you the warmth of a hug.
Not once have I kissed you to make you feel snug.
Not once have I said “I love you” to let you know you’re the best mom that you can be.

But you should know that you’re like that to me, the best mom that you can be…
You keep me going when I cry,
You tell me all these reasons why.
What you taught me is what I will use,
What you gave to me is what I will cherish,
And what you do for me is what I will do for others that are especially like you.

So I say on this dearest Mothers Day,
What I have not done, what I have not said,
I will do that all today,
Even tough you’re the best mom you can be anyway.
