No One Cares Poem by Randy McClave

No One Cares

The weatherman says a storm is coming
Everyone then takes off running,
People then get scared and begin to panic
They see it as furious and gigantic.
The drummer then stops drumming his drum
Then he takes off on the run,
He goes home like everyone else looking for shelter
All they feel is helter skelter.
They buy their needs by the truckload in the stores
Then they shut their windows and lock their doors,
They want to be ready and prepared
Then to their friends and family the terror is shared.

The preacher says that Jesus is coming
The drumming is still drumming,
They none change their thoughts or affairs
As no one cares.
