No More Criminality Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Mothers were left
to clear up the mess
after innocent people
were shot by criminals.
Everyone knows the
highs and the lows
of crime in Britain...
a shooting here
a knife attack there.
Crime shows its sinister
face everywhere.
We should study the whys
and the wherefores in this
country of peace evermore.
Education must open its door;
teach social behaviour
decency restored!
Mothers never to clear
the mess from criminality...
minds free from the worry
of fatality.
