No Man Is A Tree

Rating: 5.0

Connected to the place where we
have come from, we must all transcend
our roots, for no man is a tree.
Librarians with books to lend
to those who wish to read our minds,
we now make marginally notes
on places we have left behind,
cut off by memories, the moats
that, drawboard raised, have drowned
the past, depriving us of access
to primal, but abandoned, ground
we can’t reach using phones or faxes.
