No Destroying Me Poem by Silence Dogood

No Destroying Me

You may have been right at times.
But for now your in the wrong.
Im sure it won't always be that way.
And it wont last very long.

But when you said I was broken.
It was obviously a lie.
You thought it was true just.
because I was known to cry.

Oh how wrong you were.
About how easily I'd break.
How easily I'd fall.
How easily I'd shake.

I'd cry yes at the simplest things
But I'd wipe my tears and hold my breath
I'd dry the stains and put on a smile
And never flinch at death.

And you may be right.
At how I cringe at the names.
And I wont deny it.
But I feel the pain.

But if youre looking for me to crumble
It's something you wont see
Because what you fail to understand
Is theres no destroying me
