No Beer! Poem by Abra Sunshine Wongler

No Beer!

Upon the day of a feast....There was no beer.
A feast with no beer, alas, how horrid.
Sullen faces all about the tables.
Until suddenly, the King's engineer arrived with the solution.
With a mighty crash did beer spew forth...
Alas... it was only half one serving,
Wasted upon the engineers bearded face...
He shared the remaining half with his fellow table mates
With not many aword,
He then excused himself to rid his calm face of the waste,
And as he walked away...
Everyone, especially King and Queen, whispered...
'Never knew what a drip that man was.'
