Night, Oh So Different. Poem by Morgan Stanton

Night, Oh So Different.

The difference we've seen
from night and day
is obvious.
One is light.
And the other is dark.
But what are the true differences?
The day is full of noise.
Birds sings their song
Cars honk their legendary honk
Trees reveal their green leaves.
But the night?
Oh, the night.
Such beauty, such mystery.
Simple colors show true meaning.
Blacks and greys
reveal what can't be seen with light.
And in fact,
Darkness resembles evil,
pain and melancholy.
But why do stars shine brightest
When the world is at its darkest?
Human kind is afraid of night.
They can no longer see what around
the corner
They can't feel the safety of the light
The ability to see the world at its best
But the night,
Oh, the night.
Its extrodinary, in fact cherished.
For what the day hides away
Shows in the dark.

So, truth be told
We see more in the night
We see more truth
We see more love
It's when the happenings
Happen.

Nightime, you are oh so loved
by yours truly

So true the night is such a beautiful sight I rather be up at night than the day
