The Edge Poem by Morgan Stanton

The Edge

I’m lost without you,
Don’t you realize?
Incomplete, no longer whole, broken.
Shattered to pieces.
A piece of me has left
I can’t find it
Why?
Why would you do this to me?
You don’t even know
You’ve ripped me apart
Inside out
Trying to forget you
Stuck to my memories
There’s only one way,
I can’t live to remember you
I’ve seen the edge
And I’m ready to return
Hello edge
Goodbye world
All I could say
Toes grip the edge
Anticipating the fall
Lean forward and
Fly
Wind rushes by
I breathe in the cold air
Close my tear filled eyes
Goodbye
