'Night Life In The City' Poem by Lynette Johnson

'Night Life In The City'

Night life in the city
Is the time when the streets come alive
For the people are off from work and school
And they all come outside
How busy the streets and stores are
Some people are shopping
Others head in, and continue this routine
Until the week is done, and then there comes the weekend
This time brings a few days of fun
The places get busier than ever
For the weeks' work is done
The streets and places are full of lights
People stay up, visit one another, and party all night
After a few days of fun
The weekend comes to an end
Time to go in, get ready for work
And start all over again!
