Niagara Falls Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Niagara Falls

Rating: 5.0

Niagara Falls

I saw them by the "falls"
Women wore tight Hijab
In open they prayed…

Muslim born, I felt them.

Went to them with salute
I tried Arabic…
Only man from them
Broke walls and borders
He spoke in my tongue…

"Bravo" froze there
On my lips; still bud…

I had meant to tell them:
"For being so honest…"

If honest you stand
Speak right, what you have
In your heart and in mind
Just liars bend the fact.

Still I feel too great
For having no border
I shall not accept that
His Q and my N
At the end of "Ira"
Will make us different.

My path of Iran to Iraq
And Afghan and Pakistan
To Turkey, Emirates
Must be and is of course
One and will so remain
I have, will, love them all
They carry same blood…
