Quietly,
She begins to cry.
She fears a sob,
Or a single sound.
She closes her eyes,
And traces her scars.
Her eyes shut tight,
When she remembers each cut,
And the pains that caused each one.
And now,
This new pain,
That causes this new cut,
As she quietly slices her wrist.
She watches dully,
As the blood flows down her arm.
With life fading from her eyes,
She thinks again how this new pain,
Was that one last straw.
