Never Let 'Em See You Cry Poem by Dee Daffodil

Never Let 'Em See You Cry

Rating: 5.0

When your ego has been shattered
And spilled upon the floor
You must gather wits about you
And make quickly for the door

Never let the bastards see you cry! !

When you think you can't go on
And a darkness
Fills your soul
Slap a smile upon your face
And remember drama 101

Never let the bastards see you cry! !

When you need to shake that hand
And humility takes it's toll
Then shake with strength and dignity
Remembering all that is right

and

Never let the bastards see you cry! !

I never cried until I was in my Fifties and then I became a sentimental old fool.

A most powerful write Dee! I agree, tears are necessary but always best to try and refrain from showing them in front of those that may use them as a sign of weakness and a permission to destroy..... Great words again Dee... HG: -) xx

Tears are a sign of giving in... good advice to keep them from seeing you cry... Alison
