Never Alone Poem by Jared Weppelman

Never Alone

Rating: 5.0

His fist slams against her cheek
Forcing a pounding to keep her weak
She tries not to make a sound
As this impromptu Tyson goes another round

She won’t tell a soul this tragedy
For worry of disharmony
She’s frozen like a sculpture
Her fear paramount through this torture

Her savior waits in the darkest night
Ready to take up her bruising fight
She doesn’t know where to go
But he’s there so she isn’t alone

This horror movie come to life
Is a regular of daily strife
A burning anger finds release
In a childish antithesis of peace

They struggle brokenly
With none to tell their story
Their glass soul suffer cremation
Waiting for their final salvation

A savior waits in the night
Ready to take up their fight
They don’t know where to go
But the savior’s there so they’re not alone.

There is a treasure trove of gold
To be found in the clay we mold
Hold on and find the human length
That is there to give you strength

A savior waits in the night
Ready and willing to take up the fight
Even when you don’t know where to go
Someone’s there so you’re not alone

Just remember that you’re not alone
I hope that you know you’ll never be alone
