Needle Threads Life Strands? Poem by Terence George Craddock

Needle Threads Life Strands?

needle stands like a stele
window pierced through at top
what words were life written
carved into this face of stone?

upright or fallen stone or slab?
an inscribed sculptured surface?
testament to past lives defining
ancient times lives civilizations

behold beauty of carved pictures
behold polish of life highlights
behold rulers officials their rules
behold those who drank life boasts

needle stands a sliver of metal
window pierced through at top
who draws silk thread through eye?
who draws cotton thread through eye?

who draws thread through needles eye?
what is predetermined planned chance?
who prepares threads strands of life?
who gave took life slim thread chances?

deeds are weaved through allocated days
skilled hands craft weave glorious patterns
feeble untrained hands flounder dim eyes
upon completion unexpected time cut threads...
