Necessities - Vade Mecums (Senryu) Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Necessities - Vade Mecums (Senryu)

When mornings come 'round
And my cellphone can't be found
I'm lost with no clone.

Life is dark ages
When I lose my eyeglasses
And see a blurred world.

My silent partner
Is this ailing computer
He stores what I write.

But the vital key
To the writer inside me -
My cup of coffee.

I exist with these
Life's little necessities;
My vade mecums.

* 'vade mecum' (Latin) - a useful thing that a person constantly
carries with him.
