Nature Poem by Kayode Lagbayi

Nature

In his generousity it arrays
Many gift of life unfold
A possession of its personal heritage
That coheres with peace and love

Sun that brightens the day with light
Moon and stars by night and dusk
A lighten display of firmament
In a colourful sparkling parade
Stars shine in the plain sky
As hung silver lamp above
A green field of fixed plane
That stretch far away beyond the sight
Until they touch the sky in style
Columns of tree as sentinels
In it logical innovative display

Moving sea that rise and fall
A wavy movement of fluid
That stretches and kisses the sky
Noisy rain that tap the roofs
A tiny stick drop from above
Fall and flow in path align
A rainbow sensation of light
An arc of colours that merge
And springs out of the sun above

Music of the day in resounding tune
Harmonized by flowing air in space
Still the soul of mankind in serenity
Gentle breeze that freshen and flow
Past the woodland and housing street
Calm the warm body down in pact
Stillness of the night in gloomy time
Silence a living body and soul
And perfect natural mind of creatures

Each day lock when night sings
With echo of sound from dark and space
And open when light of sun strikes the field
All creatures close their eyes and snooze at night
And their souls and mind awake in tune
When earth roles into the light of the sun
Eyes see with the vision of the sun
As it slogs and rides above the hills
With the glow of fire across the pasture

Wonderful and great nature
A right you given unto us
The value of this world to enjoy a free
And for us forever and ever to be.
