Nations Poem by Aisha Sherazi

Nations

We love this land,
Our place of birth,
Compared with the rest,
It's always first.

We love this land,
United we stand,
Don't threatan us,
Our borders are manned.

We love this land,
It's beautiful hills,
Industrial destruction,
It gives us the chills.

But what of the people,
What of our ways?
Givernments shape us,
With our lives they play.

Each country is filled,
With the hopes and dreams,
Of the ones who live there,
In cities, by streams.

When will we learn,
Whether with minaret or steeple,
A nation is only,
As good as its people.
