Nationalism Poem by Vi Lanflagle

Our country has once again,
changed hands
to the 44th president.

Controversy surrounds;
United we stand,
divided we fall.

For the sake of my country
I hope all goes well.

Progress has been made
and I am proud.

I am proud that I am able to stand and say:
'I am an American, and I am free.'
And I honor those who have made the sacrifice
for me to be able to say that.

For our country,
changes can be made for the better.

And for our country,
and for the rest of the world
who struggles as we struggle,
I stand behind my new president
Barrack Obama.

~I actually favored McCain but I really do hope that the changes he makes, and the policies he puts into action help our country and get us back on track.
