Nap Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Nap

Nap

Best-ever, sleep, nap
-for me, was, on your lap.

May recall, was alert
-flight suit, boots, helmet…

Came home so, could say hi
-your smile mesmerised.

I informed dispatcher
-to call when needed.

Stayed there, as I was
-together we had lunch.

Stretched were your legs
-on one thigh, I laid head.

You lowered head and hair
-with your kiss, night entered.

I slept for hours
-underneath night of hair.

Opened eyes to find out
-your look was full of love.

Though divorced for years now
-that sleep is alive in my mind.
