Nancy's Angels Poem by Kath Carter

Nancy's Angels

Rating: 5.0

As she lay in her bed angels around her head
Her breathing was laboured and slow
She heard a sweet voice saw a kind smiling face
say 'come on now, it's time to go,
Dont be scared we are here to help with your fear
God has sent us to help you through,
Let go of your pain, your worries and strain
You know that it's time that you do'

'I cannot go now, I don't know how
I have so many things left unsaid'
The angels held out their hands and bathed her in light
from her feet to the top of her head
She smiled with relief as the pain faded away
She felt herself lifted and free
I now have to go, I cannot stay, I'm leaving please forgive me

To my family I love you and always will
Please love and look after each other
I'll be by your side, I'll walk with you still
You can't lose the love of your mother

Lovely tributed and memorial to a loving mum, well articulated and elegantly penned in good rhyme scheme from the heart. An insightful depiction of the softness of mothers' love beautifully brought forth. Thanks for sharing Kath. Please read my poem POETIC MASTERPIECE.
