Mystifying You Poem by Saskia Harjono

Mystifying You

Rating: 3.0

You have become with ease,
spreading your wings, ready to soar
and I just can’t see me there, no more

Mystifying all what you are doing,
Is it your way of trying to let go?

Am I still the one you stare,
though I don’t see you looking?
Are your ‘I love you’s’ still for me,
though they’re unsaid?
Or I’m now merely a big mess of leftover,
a junk pile of memories you are trying to get rid of?

Is it the way you conceal things,
or is it how you really feel?

When every bit of reality forces me to build a wall to keep you away,
my very core is destroying every brick
right after it is put
and wrecking it
doesn’t need an effort

You are someone not to belong to
but I want to keep you for myself

Does it make me a terrible person?
