Myself Poem by Rodney Dufault

Myself

Sadness awakens and now I am here
to be lonely again and live in my fear
of never ending peaceful violence,
forever hearing ceaseful silence.

I am in a world where water burns.
I want to leave but cannot turn.
Be over, be over I ask you this.
There is no such thing as eternal bliss.

I am paranoid, for someone is running
into time with speed and cunning.
I am so scared of everything.
Not everyone, but anything.

Who are you to shine above
all the rest to show me love?
I love you all. I hate you too.
And who's to say if which is true?

What is love? Will I ever know?
I never knew, so who can show?
I know of two I think could help.
One is you and one's myself.
