My Spirit Poem by Kayla August

My spirit is my protector
He goes out at night, and
tells me what is right
He know how i feel
But never one day give up on me
He know that i am weak
and that is why he stay around
When i am scared to step outside
he say its okay, he will do it for me
When i am scared to think about life
Once again, he say its okay he will think for me
And that is how i carry on my daily life
with my spirit by my side
But, one day he died
and he takes me with him
because he knew my life
would be nothing without him
