My Spice Girl Poem by AtreyaSarma Uppaluri

My Spice Girl

She is so ravishing,
Her very thought: lavishing
Without her company: it’s languishing
If she’s away for a week, it is anguishing

She is doe-eyed, with a face beaming
Her looks are hooks, tantalising
Her cheeks, lovelier with a gentle dimple
The tangle of her glossy hair
Offers a soulful angle of rest

She is no ugly duckling
She is a beautiful swan
Queenly and majestic

Her lips are full and inviting
Her lovely throat a gateway
To the tempting rest
From her taste, no getaway

Totally caught in her web
I would love to fool around
Staying there for ever and ever

Each year added to her
Is beauty multiplied by beauty
Some tempting maturity about her charms
She is an ageless beauty

I can’t gauge her age
She is certainly not a lass
Not at all a teenager
Not even in her twenties or thirties
But she is always thirsty to me

She has seen life and seen men
She can give me a life of bliss
She has children grown up
Yet she can raise my spirits up

Only a woman like that
Knows how to add spice
To give me pleasures twice
What can any other give?
