My Relationship With My Parents Poem by dark queen

My Relationship With My Parents

I don’t care about you.
Don’t judge my friends.
You don’t see them
you only see the clothes they wear
or their religion or their sexual orientation.
You don’t see their kindness to me
or how much they protect me
from the frightening things in the world
you don’t see the horrible people you are
or that they care about the real me
more than you do.
Do you know the real me?
Can you see the little girl
screaming inside
that wants to kill you?
of course you dont
you dont see what you dont want to.

But don't u wear the clothes so thaz what they'll see? Yes? Tht path is too narrow. Why criticize them for seeing what u want. Aren't u doing that to them? Write about that. Val

blind to truth, addicted to lies, I hate when people judge what they see not what they know.
