My Reincarnation Poem by Ima Ryma

My Reincarnation

Rating: 5.0

When reincarnated I should
Be an elephant in the wild.
In nature's way this would be good.
In the late '50's as a child
With a rifle I was quite skilled.
On a safari I took aim
And fired, an elephant was killed.
This caused me to feel a great shame.
The dead elephant looked at me,
Forgiving me for what I'd done.
And still a haunting memory,
I never again fired a gun.

As an elephant I should live
And die and hope that I forgive.

I am amazed at the transcendence of this poem. Your imaginative soul shines forth, from and into eternity. Beautiful.

I could never understand hunting for sport. But you were just a child. You didn't know any better. Both the elephant and God have forgiven you. Don't worry about reincarnating as an elephant. Lower forms of animals can evolve higher. Humans can't devolve into a lower animal.
