My Poison Poem by Jessica Elizondo

My Poison

I dropp to the ground next to your body.
You said you couldn't take it,
the pain, the pressure
said you gave up.

I raise your head and blood trickels down my arms.
I hold you close and wonder why?
Why have you given up?
You were my hero, the one I looked up to.

I guess life was too hard for you,
guess this was your last resort.
If only you told me,
I would have helped you get through it.

Cold tears stream down my face,
as they hit your lifeless body.
Tell me, tell me why I shouldn't take my life too.
No, I'm stronger than that.

Your such a fool.
How could you?
Why did you leave me?
Do I deserve to be left alone?

I close my soaked eyes.
I can't take it.
I kiss your still warm lips, but nothing.

You drank your poison,
But you left me here.
You drank your poison
And this is mine.
