I had been afraid of dogs
Since I was a little girl
I never liked dogs before I met Susah
"Susah Susah Susah' people called him
He was so cute
He was so kind
He was always so friendly
I knew when he was smiling
I knew when he was crying
When he was happy or sad
He was emotional like me
He played around me like my own child
He licked my fingers with his tongue
He put his paw into my hand
He was loyal to people who loved him
He loved us as much as we loved him
He was only about three years old
He died in surgery
I am crying now I can't stand it
It is so hard for me to accept the fact
I promised I would write a poem for him
But I never knew I would write it when he was gone
My heart was broken my eyes were wet
I felt so sad I was unable to work
I came home to write my poem
To write my poem for him
Read my poem, Susah
Take our love with you
Read my poem, Susah
Take our love with you
Susah Susah Susah
We will miss you!
In this eternal life life and death are but common, we have to bear all, my dear poet.
