My Painful Love Poem by alon ali

Im not easily loved, but hated by others effortlessly
I try hard to be happy but its all in vain
I try to make others happy but they cry instead
A world without me is the best
I can only fix the hearts of the broken
I am whole but incomplete
My heart left behind in the past with a woman
It beats and dances for her only
It lies dead for anyone else
I cant help but to feel a love for her
Even if cruel fate says we shall not be
My most precious of memories are of her
Of our little one that could not be
My world was built on pillars of sand
It took long for it to be created
But only seconds for it to topple and crumble
Time will only tell if these ruins will be found
Rebuilt to its former glory
Or perhaps it will just become another lost city
Written down in the scriptures of sorrows
I watch from the shadows as she builds again
For her it is so effortless to move on
But for me im shackled to these ruins
If only she knew my pain, my sorrows
But i cannont, thats selfish of me
I put on the mask of a smile to hide my tears
A facade to the very end, a play that repeats itself
How fitting that the villian be me and she the princess
But one does not know who the true villan be
Until it is to late and she topples another city
