My Love, Forever. Poem by Brooke Audino

My Love, Forever.

Rating: 2.7

When I was little
I dreamed of a lover.
One who isn't brittle,
But one who couldn't be replaced by another.

I met many other guys
Before I met you.
All they told me were lies,
And with them my love was never true.

But then I met a special boy,
Always he'd be kind and caring,
And he did not use me like a play toy.
Sadly, I wasn't too daring.

Then one fateful day,
I finally talked to you,
And got up the courage to say
That my feelings were very true.

But at first your feelings were hid,
And you said you hated me.
That made me sad that it's what you did.
Then I thought, how could that be?

During the lowest time in my life,
You came and made me smile.
I was saved from the deadly knife,
Now I don't plan on leaving for a long while.

I let you into my heart,
And have no regrets for it.
I know we will never be torn apart,
Our love is like a candle, very brightly lit.

Now as we move on past year two,
I'm so deeply in love,
And I'm so happy to always see you
Because you are my angel from above.

And if I take my last breath soon,
I know I will think of you.
Dead. Dying. Death. Comfort me moon.
Oh whatever shall I do?

Shall I think of our children,
How wonderful they will be.
Or will I think of Jordan,
Whom I will get to see.

Never was I loved before,
Until I fell into your grace,
And now I'll be loved forever more.
I'm dreaming of your face.

Our future will be bright,
As long as we are together.
Every day and night,
We will be with each other forever.

People will get jealous
Of the love we share,
And if they tell us
We truely shouldn't care.

And as I write these last few words,
I just wanted you to know.
Everyone thinks of us as love birds
And I love you now and it will always be so.
