My Lord Poem by Melinda Butterfield

My Lord

Who are you my Lord?
Are you quiet and golden like a sunrise?
Are you calm and gentle as a soft breeze?
Well, sometimes I can hear you whispering
through the trees and I realize
How great you are.

Where are you my Lord?
Are you dwelling in the hearts
of the weary?
Giving strength and comfort to
the lonely.
Sometimes I can feel you
lifting up my heart and I realize
How real you are.

And you seem to me so powerful
as the sea with its whipping gales and tides.
And you are as peaceful as a golden moon
on a wintry night.

Who are you my Lord?
Who are you my Lord?
You are love.
You are love.
You are love.
