My Lie Poem by Randy McClave

My Lie

I told a lie
Now I want only to die,
That piece of untruth, became my fruit
With it I must now forever lie.

I had planted a seed
In which hatred will now feed,
When I go to bed, it won't leave my head
Oh sin, I had freed.

I had kept a lie
It's falsehood I would not deny,
It created hate, from which others ate
Now, I want only to cry.

That one lie became other lies
They out numbered the flies,
I caused pain, so in character I could gain
Now a Devil is my true guise.

I will now die
I am still haunted and cursed by that lie,
Suffering I had created, when I hated
Now, I must look into God's eye.
