My Last Breathe Poem by Michael Peterson

My Last Breathe

Rating: 5.0

What's wrong with me?
Why do I lay here?
Grasping for air, no one cares
Trapped in this bed
I can't move, can't hear
The light is bright, the view is blurry
The people around are hazy
Why are they crying, I am trying
Tears are falling, they are bawling
I am ok, see I am here
Talk to me, why can't I speak
Please hear me
I am alive, help me
Why is the light so dull?
My eyes are getting heavy
They are saying goodbye
I'm not going anywhere
Please don't cry here
I am alive, see me here
The room is dark
People fading away
My eyes are closing
Breathing is harder
I'm drifting away
Tired and worn out
Life is draining
Please let me live
One more chance
It's getting dark
The pain is going away
Feeling good inside
Life turning to dreams
Seeing lost ones
I am dying, losing a life
My last gasping breath
Seeing the end is near
I have no more fears
Kiss me one last time
Heaven awaits
